Hoosiers get hyped for Foster Farms Bowl

In 2016, Indiana University’s Hoosier football team went to the Foster Farms bowl. It was a big deal for IU to go to a bowl game, and we at the IU Alumni Association (IUAA) had a lot of fun promoting it to Hoosiers. Thinking out loud, the CEO said he wished we could riff on the Foster Farms television commercials.

Not one to disappoint my boss, we developed The Clucking Hoosiers. The background music is IU’s Marching Hundred, and the clucking choir was a group of IUAA staff directed by Rebecca Keith. I choreographed the chickens and directed puppeteers J.D. Denny and Amy Joyner. (I am operating the chicken on the far left.)

IU posted the video on social media, and I am told that it was one of the most watched videos of the year.

File this one under “other duties as assigned.”
